
NIER VAM Abatement Safety Project

A $27 million five-year research project to determine the critical science and engineering issues underpinning safe operation of Ventilation Air Methane (VAM) capture ducts, part of Large-Scale VAM abatement systems proposed by the Australian coal industry to address fugitive emissions.
Embedded in the Newcastle Institute of Energy and Resources (NIER) research team I harmonised research, commercial and industrial objectives, ensuring successful project delivery for key stakeholders.
